About Our Company
Fig Media Inc is an Illinois Corporation, founded in 1993, incorporated in 2003. We began as an event services company and have expanded client services to include the talents of our long time crew members and to fulfill the demands of our clients for more relational media for their products and services. We find our passion in rising to the challenges of our diverse and socially minded clientele. Our social media deliverables, we call them our pantry of digital snacks, evolved from both client dialogues and our own marketing experience. Our filmmakers and producers all study the science of social and emotional intelligence and we continue to hone our skills in this arena. It is our ability to interact and evolve our relationships that is important to our mass appeal. Our expanded ability to relate to one another and use digital imagery as a medium is the key to crossing what used to be cultural and diversity divides. While current and up to date technology is important, it is not just the slick video production that brings us current. Opportunities to learn more about the bigger world and represent cultures using our media as medium are tantamount to the success of the imagery.

PROJECT
MacArthur Foundation is embarking on a historic fund to support local journalism and Chicago is the first city. Our filmmakers worked to create a plan that spanned all corners of the city, interviewing four locals who are making a difference in their fields - the topic: “Why local journalism matters.” This film was then chopped into small pieces and resized for social media. The clients are thrilled and are touring it all over with their efforts.

SCION
PROJECT
The Scion Group, is one of North America’s leading owners, operators and advisors of student housing. We created a suite of films for various efforts prior to the event and then partner with the executive staff at Scion to capture the conference through photography and videography services. We cover all keynote speakers, a few breakout sessions, capture the spirit of the full event, in addition to creating a highlight sizzle that screens the final night with footage from two hours prior.

We were hired by Momentum on behalf of Monkey Shoulder to capture the Ultimate Bartender Challenge. Initially booked for a highlight film, our client loved the footage and ended up booking several social media edits. Because our team pushed for solid interviews and studied the brand before filming, we were able to wow our client right out of the gate.

PROJECT
SHRED415 initially hired us to handle "client testimonials," to celebrate the success of their business. After meeting with our team, we inspired them to tell their own story. Our team wrote scripts and handled the interviews of their staff and clients. When Bonnie and Tracy first viewed their films, they were in tears seeing their mission on screen for the first time.

Lyric Opera of Chicago commissioned our team to document both the launch of the Chicago Community Created Performances project and document the process on an annual basis. Our team shoots a wide range of materials that are broken down into bite sized chunks for social media. The project started with our creative process that continues to drive the vision for the project into the next program.

Jango SMPT wanted to create films that attracted IT professionals to their services. Our team was commissioned to produce a series of youtube films to do just that. We worked with an Emmy Award winning writer at Chicago's Second City to create these funny films that imagine what happens to your emails when they get lost or the humorous situations that arise when you miss an email.

ERIE NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE

Erie Neighborhood House is a non-profit organization that promotes a just and inclusive society by strengthening low-income, primarily Latino families through skill-building, access to critical resources, advocacy and collaborative action. Each year we produce a film about one of their families for a local fundraiser. This films have collective raised over half a million dollars at the events they screen.

VIRGIN HOTEL CHICAGO
PROJECT
We were the first camera crew allowed to film inside the new Virgin Hotel in Chicago. Commissioned by Zapwater, our team created "peep-show," designed to look like a spy film for the private launch of the hotel. We were then invited back to film various events surrounding the launch of the hotel over the course of six months.

PENINSULA CHICAGO
PROJECT
This scripted production is one of our favorites to produce as attention to detail is paramount. We spent the day breaking down the shots from the script to make sure that they clearly illustrate what to do in an emergency. In our previous film, we shut down a hallway in the hotel to create "smoke," with a fog machine. This meant alerting all guests that we were filming and that the smoke wasn't real. This year we decided to tackle the "smoke," digitally. This saved the hotel valuable time and staff and sped up our production.

MARIANO'S
PROJECT
For this series the fig team was responsible for production of a cover shot to use for magazine print ads and a web-series of videos that would be used in social media. Our film and photo teams worked in tandem to create the cover image and to create an episode. Both of these deliverables included a heavy post-production process and tight collaboration with agencies and CS magazine.

Canaryville to Bonneville is currently in production. While we are still filming this project, we think it is relevant to share our experience creating a 30 page script for a short feature film in collaboration with Brackenbox, a family owned business on the South Side of Chicago, that chronicles the history of the family and the business they built with their love for racing.
