Born and raised in Washington, DC, I have always enjoyed the fast paced city auora. Being of Puerto Rican and Guyanese decent, I have always been proud of my background, and family is such an important part of my life. They have been there to support me in everything I do,even though we are spread out in different cities. Because seeing them is so rare now, it is always so much fun everytime we spend time together.
A graduate of UNC Greensboro in film/tv production, I have been interested in the production aspect of film/tv for years. I have worked Freelance for independent films, reality tv, music videos, and other miscellaneous projects. I have always been drawn to Camera Department, so any chance I get, I try and get on to new projects behind the camera.
New to Chicago, it is a great city and there is so much to absorb. I feel that being in this city and interning with Fig Media is a great opportunity to advance in the industry.
Five Goals for my experience at Fig:
1. Develop my skills in the Camera Department. Working hands on with a camera is the best way to learn about the camera.
2. Be more efficient with the editing process. Being able to work with all the different programs smoothly can be a challenging task at times.
3. Build a relationship with people in Chicago who have experience in the media industry.
4. In an age where everyone can make a video, I want to make a lasting carrer in this field. I want to strive to be as professional that I can at my craft.
5. Enjoy what I do and love what I create.
