Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I developed my love for movies and filmmaking as a teenager watching and making my own skateboard videos.  After attending the University of Colorado at Boulder, I moved out to Los Angeles in search of working on Hollywood movies.  While the weather was great, I just couldn’t stay away from the city I truly love, and decided to come back to Chicago to pursue a career in production. 

Just observing everyday activities and objects is an inspiration to capture and view things differently.  Walking down the street, I look at everything with a different perspective.  Looking at one object and moving past it in different angles, speeds, and focusing my eyes differently help me to see the world differently as a camera may take it in. I am very excited to be working as an intern here at Fig where I can expand my skills as well as test cinematographic eye.

Five Goals:

1. Gain knowledge of the film and production industry through hands on experience with professionals

2. Improve and hone my skills in camera work and video editing

3. Expand my understanding of the production industry and how it has evolved, and how to effectively use the new forms of media to reach my target audience

4. Learn what it takes to create a short film or video, from planning in the beginning, to wrapping up the shoot, and finally finishing in post-production

5. Develop the skills necessary to one day bring my own ideas to life through film and video directed to reach the masses
