Born and raised in the great state of Michigan (the Mitten), I graduated in December 2010 from Western Michigan University with my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography and Intermedia. I moved to the glorious city of Chicago at the beginning of the summer and am already in love with the cities fluid night life and culture. Always a lover of the arts, photography struck a blissful note with me at a young age. I work both in digital and traditional black and white film as well as video and sound. I enjoy the idea of being very hands-on with my work letting the process become my staple, my fingerprint. I also enjoy alternative process techniques such as cyanotype, van dyke, and gel-medium which I've incorporated into some of my conceptual installation pieces. Inspiration for me stretches far across all medias of art ranging from illustration and design to three dimensional sculptures and installations. Such artists who inspire me are: Alex Prager, Marilyn Minter, Alexander McQueen, Jerry Uelsmann, Camille Rose Garcia, Cindy Sherman, Terry Richardson, and Nan Goldin. I thrive off of constantly creating conceptual works of art that can seamlessly translate my inner thoughts into a conversation for my audience. Im a huge foodie, cooking is an extreme passion of mine, in fact if I could I would eat all day everyday into food coma eternity. Note: Don't bring pasta around me because I will take it. I am an animal lover, especially dogs. Like a 5th grader I squeal in joy whenever I see a lil pup (I still consider Great Danes lil pups). Lover of the city but lover of the outdoors just as much, Michigan was such a beautiful place to grow up, the summers especially. Fashion is vital to me, it runs in my blood. If I could have a Gold Star Member Rewards card to any thrift store I would be.

Five Goals:

1. Create an active network of peers and clients within the art industry.

2. Establish a community of artists and start a blog/editorial magazine/newspaper where such artists and individuals can house and express their ideas.

3. Open my own studio/gallery where I could create, promote and share artwork by myself and others.

4. Expand my photography and design skills past the fine art barrier into more of an industry (technically and business side) driven mindset while still maintaing that creative edge.

5. Be constantly inspired and challenged and push my artistic portfolio even further.
