As a young kid growing up in Chicago during the 90’s, I was obsessed with Michael Jordan and Professional wrestling. My friends and I were not allowed to travel to far from home in those days so we would spend our time making movies in our backyards. We would set up wrestling rings, write small scripts for our alter-ego wrestler personas to follow, and have an absolute blast filming ourselves and forcing our parents to watch.
Ever since those fun filled days of my youth, I have been pursuing a career in film and video. I went down the path of Documentary films because I love learning about different people, different cultures, and how things are made. I am very excited about my internship opportunity at Fig Media. I hope to learn more about the production process and meet a lot of fun and helpful people along the way. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, cooking, and attempting to play golf.
Five Goals for my experience at Fig:
1. Learning as much as I can about the pre-production process of obtaining clients and meeting their expectations.
2. To be able to have hands on experience as a videographer on many different locations and productions. 3. To learn much more about the video editing process. 4. To be able to work with and learn from other creative individuals in the field of filmmaking.
5. To be able to work in my chosen craft of filmmaking, learning new skills that I will take with me for the rest of my life. |
