Let's just say my backyard is Google, my neighbors are Facebook, and my frontyard is Apple. Glorious, yes?

I hail from Cupertino, California, a happy little suburb within Silicon Valley in the South Bay of San Francisco. Come college, I traveled 400 miles downstate to UCLA, realized I made a horrible mistake, and a year later transferred to Northwestern University and have loved it since. I anticipate graduating June 2011 with a major in Communication Studies (how to flirt, argue, persuade, and beg, in verbal and written forms) and with a certificate in Marketing via Medill School of Journalism.

I am interning this summer at Fig Media because I think the staff is inexplicably cool and I'm hoping some of it will rub off. The second reason is that I want to pursue my passions in design, fashion, photo, events, and being queen. My goals are to assist at as many gigs as possible and to learn as much as I can in all areas. I also work part time in retail (BR - bananas and figs. fruit <3) and with the rest of my time I run and read; I'm a loyal follower of NYTStyle, TIME, ChicagoTrib, and JM squared.

Five Goals for my experience at Fig:

1. Become proficient in Photoshop.

2. Assist at 1 gig/week.

3. Learn about event coordination, account management, etc.

4. Experiment with web and print design.

5. Be open-minded and try new things!
