Meet Jackie

Throughout my life I have been on the constant move, living everywhere from the Deep South, Los Angeles, Milan, and multiple places in the Mid-West. Yet, having always been an artist, I'm on the constant search to finding my voice and imagery in today's ever changing society. Trained, since high school in black & white photography, I use my camera to convey images to the world and strive to convey imagery and ideas through its lens.

In the past few years, my production experiences have ranged from student productions, low budget shorts, and independent films; working as a production assistant, gaffer, 1st and 2nd camera assistant, film loader, and on set photographer. When I was given the opportunity to work with renowned 1st AC, Doug Hart, on "Nightingale Sings", I 1st learned the importance of communication through the entire crew, no matter what department, as well as the art of anticipation.

I'm excited to evoke emotion through light, mise-en-scène, and camera placement through shoots. In my free time, I listen to an eclectic array of music, as well as watch TV, movies, and their special features.

Five Goals for my experience at Fig:

1. Produce innovative, contemporary art to be viewed in galleries or other public venues. I want to be able to express emotion and my interpretation of the world in my pieces.

2. Construct multimedia projects integrating my poetry, designs, images and video installations.

3. Hone my lighting skills on both still photography and video sets.

4. Continue to push the boundaries of conventional entertainment by incorporating video and special effects into conventional deejaying.

5. Seamlessly integrate myself into a crew/team and to add insight to the client's vision.
