| I am a Michigander. Polish-Michigander, more specifically. I was born and raised in Kalamazoo. If you've ever lived near there, then you can understand why I left. I decided to set up shop in Atlanta. It was there that I realized I was most content in life watching TV & movies and reminiscing about making quirky videos growing up, so I decided to get a degree in Video Production from the Art Institute of Atlanta. AiA was a great experience that not only taught me how to create effective video, but also allowed me to get a peak into many other forms of art as well.
After graduation I decided to come back to the midwest, and now I have an accent that sounds southern to northerners and vice versa... calling soda, "pop" while throwing out the occasional, "y'all" is confusing to everyone. While in Atlanta, my 3 younger siblings grew up so fast while I was gone that I didn't wanna miss anymore of it. Chicago, having many more opportunities than anywhere else close to home, was a natural decision. Since then, I have worked various video gigs until coming to Fig Media.
Personally, I'm a pretty simple person... easy to please. I am a huge TV and movie nerd and also enjoy exercising, eating, watching my fish tank & other pets and working all over the country. Not too picky about my career specifics as long as I'm happy doing it.
Five Goals for my experience at Fig:
1. To do an exemplary job and gain respect of people in the business.
2. To become more comfortable in my craft and increase my own confidence in my professional ability.
3. To help create pieces with my own personal touch that clients
really appreciate and love.
4. To become more familiar with High Definition shooting and editing.
5. To gain a deeper understanding of graphics and animating them. |
