The standard fig set-up that a DJ will bring to an event for 200 people or less includes:
2 CD players
1 DJ mixer
1 corded microphone
2 self-powered speakers (no amps means less problems)
Average of 400 CDs
For clients who need a bigger sound system, cordless microphones, or additional equipment above and beyond what's listed - we certainly have access to these things, but they will be additional costs. In rare occasions we can DJ with MP3s or vinyl. We can provide karaoke as well.
On a less busy night, back-up equipment will be another DJ's rig. If all of our DJs are working, then our back-up equipment comes from our favorite rental house. However, we have found that the need for back-up equipment is very rare. If equipment is going to fail, it fails when we first set up and turn it on. And since we typically set up an hour before the event, we have enough time to find an alternative solution. We won't lie to you. If equipment fails, there will be a lapse in the event until a solution is found. Yet we do train all of our DJs to find solutions quickly to minimize this lapse. Finally, we are fully insured.
