Summary

When your organization wants to raise funds for a worthy cause, whom do you call? Fig DJs, of course! The event chairs for St. Clement’s Anchor Ball got more than they bargained for when they hired the incredible DJ services of fig media. They soon realized they had experienced advisors willing to assist them in chartering new territories of their event. For example, a new element this year was a live auctioneer and many issues emerged from this addition. The event now needed stage management, graphics to accompany the auction packages, image magnification, and a “paddle raise” video to motivate the 500+ crowd to donate more. Because fig employs really talented and experienced multi-media artists, we were more than ready to handle any and all surprises and have a “ball” doing it!

fig provided:

  • DJ: dinner music, dancing, and post-party
  • Drummer: a multi-percussionist to accompany the beats played by the DJ

  • Sound system: speakers integrated in two rooms to enhance the audio component of the evening

  • Video production: produced and created a “paddle raise” video to show at the event; this process included scripting, storyboarding, filming and several rounds of editing

  • Event coordination/consultation: played a leading role in connecting the event chairs and the multitude of vendors with the vision and execution of a successful event

  • Graphic design: created slides to accompany various points in the program

  • Visual direction: oversaw the hotel A/V company to make sure the screens looked great, and that they had the appropriate content

  • Image magnification: live cameraperson to follow the action of the event
