Sustainability and technology advances in farming breaking new ground at CNH Industrial with corporate video series.

This year long corporate video series highlights sustainability in farming, electrification, technology recruitment and advancements in farming equipment.

Challenges

The initial creative brief for this project included a tech series that featured female leaders in the industry. CNHi searched for a female director to take on the project. They were excited work with fig’s executive producer Michele Gustin and writer, director Melissa Fox. The original deliverables were topical, appealing to readers of publications like Fast Company. The shorts would be shopped with major media outlets to use in feature stories about sustainable farming practices in the field and the technology being developed at CNHi. After booking and halfway through our creative process, our client experienced multiple leadership changes. This resulted in the project becoming a hot potato within the organization. Our team stayed flexible at every change, working hard to deliver results without increasing the budget. The weekly shifts in focus kept us on our toes, including our interview subjects were swapped last minute changing the overall direction 48 hours before we began filming. We set out to create one thing and ended up using all our creativity to deliver a corporate video series through the marketing and HR departments at CNHi.

This department set completely different goals for the project. The new creative direction was to create a recruitment film. The only problem was, the interviews we filmed were topical and very little content was able to be used for this purpose. Our client didn't want to spend additional funds to film new material and asked us to finish the project with what we had.

So we got to work.

Results
We love the results. We committed to delivering the project on budget despite these challenges. The collaboration required flexibility, deep listening skills and teamwork. The results are a series of short films that our client can use for a wide variety of purposes. We love the results. We chose a fresh editing pace, music direction and text treatments to brighten the films up and add additional messaging. We presented our client with many options for branding treatments until we landed on one they loved. We are most proud of how we adapted in the moment, maintained our relationships and delivered. The first of the series just released on YouTube and will trickle out one at a time.

I’m happy to share we do not have any further edits to these videos! Please consider them final. I want to acknowledge this has been a year-long process for your team. We appreciate your flexibility and collaboration, particularly since we shifted gears earlier this year. Thank you!
